Inspira Health Network achieved a milestone last Sunday, December 15 when its newest hospital, Inspira Mullica Hill Medical Center opened its doors to the public. In all, 70 adult patients including mothers and their newborns were moved by ambulance in an 11-mile stretch from their Woodbury, NJ hospital to Mullica Hill. CEO John DiAngelo and other hospital executives welcomed their first patients, a mother and her newborn daughter, born 24 hours prior.

This $356M project with 210 private patient rooms began construction back in 2017. The rooms are outfitted with smart room technology, a maternity ward with home-like birthing units, and a pediatric emergency department with an adjacent inpatient unit.

Melanie Viquez, HTS Transition Planning Director and Project Executive, feels quite sentimental about this project. She says, “From the CEO all the way to the staff – everyone is just so positive and receptive to new ideas and learning. Our project team is beyond words in how much we appreciate the support and cooperation extended to us. Mullica Hill is truly a blessing to the community.” Logistics Manager Cliff West, Coordinator Diana Silva, and Logistics Support Nick Weeraman completed the HTS team for Mullica Hill. Sixteen HTS project specialists were on hand on Sunday for the patient move.

HTS is honored and proud to have partnered with Inspira Medical Center. We look forward to future collaborations.
