HTS is proud to announce that Melanie Viquez, HTS Transition Planning Director and Erin Clark, Project Specialist, will be presenting at the Healthcare Design Expo + Conference this year from November 2-5 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Melanie and Erin will present Session E57, Hospital-wide Scenario-based Simulation: Prepare for the Activation of a New Healthcare Facility. The presentation is based on HTS’s transition and activation planning work at the Intermountain Utah Valley Hospital’s Pedersen Tower in Provo, Utah. The $430-million, 600,000-square-foot, 12-story replacement building has 262 beds and 17 clinical departments. The Tower, activated in January of this year, is the tallest building in Utah County.

Join Melanie and Erin in Room 229-230 on Monday, November 4 from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. Their presentation will review the planning process, resource and staffing tactics, budget, logistics, and coordination involved in executing a simulation event, including challenges and lessons learned.
