Each year, HTS looks for opportunities to celebrate its employees and to recognize those who have achieved work anniversary milestones. This past Saturday was the PERFECT day for such a celebration! Jeff Agner, HTS Executive VP, and Chana Harris, Manager of Human Resources, chose a great spot in Los Angeles’ hidden gem known as Griffith Park to host this year’s festivities.  A grassy and shaded picnic area, within a stone’s throw of the Merry-Go-Round and the pony rides, provided opportunities to keep both adults and the little ones entertained. The team could not get enough of the amazing barbecue from Lucille’s and the Parisian chocolate cake from Porto’s. The laughter and camaraderie were infectious and conversations flowed easily and freely. You would never have guessed that some team members have never met in person before! While some picnic-goers played a variety of sports and games, others talked about everything under the sun (while trying to stay in the shade). From travel experiences to surviving teenagers and the antics of the little ones, to the sobering topics of aging and ailments, and Brandon Sanchez’s urban planning and geography skills, the conversation was always dynamic

HTS CEO Tom Gaunt and his lovely wife Janice, and Dag Syrrist, VP Corporate Development, flew in from Dallas and Palo Alto respectively to join the team revel in SoCal’s beautiful summer weather. The highlight of the day was the recognition of employees who are celebrating their tenth and fifth year at HTS.

Jeff adds, “Since the HTS team is distributed throughout the country, it is great to get some of the team together in-person, even if only for an afternoon. It is also a great way to celebrate the many years of service that our veteran team members have contributed. It helps to connect newer teammates with those who are further along their journey with HTS.”

This was certainly one for the books as HTS hits the “Refresh” button and takes on the rest of the year with excitement and inspiration.
