The HTS dynamic duo of Project Manager Ali Broders and Coordinator Kimberly King returned to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (SBCH) this month to resume activation preparations for the new facility. While there, Ali and Kim met with transition committees and kicked off Day in the Life scenario writing. The team also had the opportunity to view the River of Life, a new outdoor amenity that will run between the new and existing buildings.

This phase is focused on departments that will be impacted by SBCH’s next steps in activation leading up to the Day in the Life dress rehearsal events by the end of 2018. Ali and Kim met with the NICU, PICU, Pediatric, Telemetry, Dialysis, and the Med/Surg departments and their superusers. They developed situational department scenarios, reviewed draft scenarios, and customized facility workflows
