On March 6, HTS facilitated a Day in the Life dress rehearsal for the NICU at Keck Medicine of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital (VHH). The event was led by HTS’s Day in the Life guru, Senior Project Manager Kathy Stevenson with Kelly Guzman, Jeff Agner, Felicia Harris, and Christina Olivarria. VHH is excited to be adding six (6) state-of-the-art private Level 3 NICU bays to their beautiful facility. The staff has been hard at work preparing for the opening, updating policies and procedures, and communicating the workflow changes to the facility. Over 50 participants had the opportunity to speak to their Day in the Life facilitators to list operational issues that arose during the event.
“It is exciting to support USC Verdugo Hills Hospital as they look to open their new NICU program this month,” Jeff shares. “While HTS gets the opportunity to assist many clients in activating their new facility, it is rare that we get the privilege of helping with the activation of a brand new patient care service line within an organization. What make this experience doubly special for me is that this local project is also the place that I was first introduced to the world so many years ago.”
Before the facility opens in the spring, Verdugo Hills is setting its sight on the upcoming licensing survey.
