The HTS team of Ley Anne Merica, Project Manager, and Tannya McFarlane, Project Coordinator returned to Stony Brook University Hospital (New York) last week to resume committee meetings with the hospital’s transition team. With the Medical and Research Translation (MART) building gearing for a mid-year activation and the new pavilion towards the end of 2018, the team continues to calendar important milestone initiatives. The HTS team also had the opportunity to tour the space to see how the project is progressing.

As building turnover approaches, HTS and the facility’s Education team are working to ensure that a solid training plan is in place. The Orientation and Training plan is a crucial element of a facility’s activation. “We are entering the fun phase of the project,” Ley Anne said. “There is an excitement in the air as the reality of their new building sinks in. The staff is looking forward to starting Day in the Life and Move Planning.”
