In 2015, HTS assisted in the activation of Indian Health Services San Carlos Apache Tribe Health Center in Peridot, AZ. HTS is pleased to announce another team-up with Indian Health Services for the Fort Yuma Health Clinic Expansion project. Last week, project managers Jeff Agner and Cindy Smith and project coordinator Kimberly Merica, kicked off the project. Over the course of three days, the team toured the existing and new facilities

and met with key leadership to conduct an initial assessment. Taking in the local history, the team had the opportunity to explore the area and visit the historic Yuma Prison. “It was great meeting everyone at Fort Yuma Service Unit,” Cindy shared. “I really enjoyed learning the history of Fort Yuma and the Yuma Territorial Prison State Park.  I look forward to getting started with the steps necessary to activate this new facility.”

The new state-of-the-art building is scheduled to open in the spring. It will focus on providing additional services to the Cocopah and Quechan tribes.
