On Monday, September 18, 2017, HTS had the honor of presenting at the 30th annual Healthcare Facilities Expo and Symposium (HFSE) in Austin, Texas. The mission of the HFSE is to create a multi-disciplinary environment that inspires attendees to evoke change and the advancement of a better delivery of healthcare through the physical space.
HTS COO/Executive Vice President, Kelly Guzman and project manager Erin Clark, presented Workflow Redesign for a New Facility alongside Vice President for Nursing Transformation and Innovation, NYU Langone Medical Center, Retty Casey. The 60-minute session explored the span of time from design development to activation, and intricacies involved in developing operations and technology plans to a building designed up to 10 years ago. Drawing from their experiences working together at NYU Langone Medical Center’s new 18-story addition, the team delved into aspects of modern facility design’s necessary focus on workflow to create an efficient, patient-centered plan for future state operations.
Over 50 representatives from various fields in healthcare attended the session, including past and present HTS clients. HTS looks forward to applying new strategies learned from this year’s conference and to attending at HFSE 2018.
