Last month, the Transition Planning team at the Women’s and Children’s Health Centre of Health Shared Services BC (HSSBC) met to finalize their Day in the Life Scenario writing for the Day in the Life sessions in the summer. Led by HTS Project Manager and Day in the Life guru, Kathy Stevenson, and Project Director, Kelly Guzman, the department managers and superusers reviewed the customized department scenarios and validated the workflow.
Day in the Life is an interdisciplinary simulation event that is facilitated by clinical experts which is unique to HTS Transition Planning. It is an interdisciplinary “dress rehearsal” that provides staff the opportunity to test scenarios with mock patients, and evaluate new workflow, operation plans, systems integration, staff training effectiveness, and equipment functionality in the new spaces.
