Last week, Mount Carmel Grove City Hospital celebrated a big construction milestone – the commemorative beam signing. The facility’s staff were invited to participate in the event by signing the one of the last structural steel beams before it was placed atop the building. The HTS Transition team led by Project Manager Cindy Smith and Project Coordinator Ryan Dickey were thrilled to be able to witness the event. “This milestone is a very big deal for all the people involved in this project,” says Cindy. “Beam signing signals a turning point for the project, and the reality of an imminent activation really sinks in. From here, the excitement will just continue as we move closer to building turnover and end-user involvement.”

While onsite, the team also conducted monthly committee meetings with the various departments that will eventually live in the building. Stand and Deliver preparations are underway as well for the latter part of the year. Stand and Deliver serves as a forum to communicate project updates to a larger audience.
