HTS is pleased to be back at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital (SBCH) to provide transition services during the sixth phase of its re-development project. SBCH will be opening a new 134,000-square foot Pavilion in October of 2018 that will include an Emergency Department expansion, Telemetry, Dialysis, Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU. HTS Project Manager Ali Broders and Project Coordinator Kim Merica were onsite on March 28-29 for the Committee Co-Chair Kick-off presentation. They introduced the roles, responsibilities, and suggested engagement of the committee co-chairs and members throughout the transition period. HTS also presented the Critical Task Log, a powerful tool that allows the teams to track tasks that need to be completed during a specific window of time. For a dose of fun, Ali and Kim engaged the committee co-chairs in a friendly game of Transition Jeopardy to test their knowledge on their roles and responsibilities as leaders in their committees. HTS is excited to be back at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, and looks forward to the opening of this beautiful facility in the fall of 2018.
