Transitioning into a new workspace can be both exciting and unnerving for hospital staff. After all, their everyday job functions will rely heavily on an efficient and safe workflow system in place before Day One of operations. This is where HTS comes into play with our team of experienced consultants who work with staff of newly-built hospitals during the planning and transition phases. We assess the current workflow, and plan the future. Gaps or issues identified during workflow sessions are addressed during subsequent transition and leadership meetings. This process ensures staff and patient safety and satisfaction.
Last week, the HTS transition team worked with the Surgery and Cath Lab teams at Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Ventura to map out their future shared space. Jonathan Ahmadi, HTS Project Coordinator for CMH commented, “Workflow planning provides a unique opportunity for hospital staff to work together across disciplines to plan for the new hospital. It is a rare and remarkable experience to facilitate this process, not to mention, very rewarding.” The new Community Memorial Hospital will be opening late 2017.
