On the week of August 22, 2016, a team of HTS regulatory specialists led a comprehensive mock survey of UC San Diego Health’s Jacobs Medical Center (JMC). Using a systematic, floor-by-floor approach, the onsite team was able to lead staff through a realistic simulation of a California Department of Public Health (CDPH) new hospital survey. “Everyone was so prepared and ready to answer questions. The responses were excellent and the facility looked great! There is no doubt they will be ready for the big day,” said Ali Broders, PMP, HTS Project Manager for the JMC Project. “We developed scripts for staff to practice with. We understand that the process can make people nervous, so we made sure everyone knew this was the time to make mistakes and ask questions in front of a friendly audience,” continued Broders. The HTS and JMC teams are looking forward to the incredible facilities opening day later on this year.
